How to Consign
Self-Service or Tag My Items (TMI)
Self-Service Consigning
This option allows you to price, tag and drop off your items to the sale. You get to shop the consignor pre-sale before we open our doors to the public.
-
Read our Consignor Guide first. This will introduce you to our sale and make sure you are aware of our policies and standards. Reading this document is mandatory and will give you a better sell-through rate and make you more money!
-
The next step is registering with our online tagging system. Click HERE to register and access our tagging software. Once you have your unique ID; you'll gather and prep your items to sell (anything your kids have outgrown or no longer use as long as it's in gently-used condition). We accept baby through pre-teen items. A complete list of accepted/not accepted items can be found HERE.
-
Use our tagging software to price your items. You'll create a tag with a unique barcode for each item. Simply type in a brief description and select a price for each of your items. Print out your tags (8 to a page) and attach the tags to your items. Our Consignor Guide is a great resource on how best to attach tags.
-
Bring your items to our sales floor during "drop off" times (usually the day before each sale starts). This process requires that you put your toys in the toy section, your books in the book section, clothes will be hung by gender and size, etc.
-
You will NOT need to be at the sale, we sell your items for you!
-
As a consignor, you shop the pre-sale (pre-sale and the Discount Day pre-sale) before the general public for the best selection and best deals! If you choose to volunteer, you shop even earlier.
-
You earn 70% of your selling price (more if you volunteer and/or refer friends to consign), less a $10 consignor fee (deducted from your earnings)!
-
Check your sales in real time as the sale is going on. It's fun and super addicting to watch your earnings increase from home or work!
-
You choose if you'd like to donate any unsold items at the end of the sale or pick them up during our designated "pick up" times (usually the evening of the last sales day).
-
We will send you your earnings within a week of the sale closing!
Tag My Items (TMI) Program
(NEW for Fall 2026-Replaces our Full-Service Program)
We understand that not everyone has the time or desire to price and tag their items. With this option, we have identified current Consignors of our sale who are our "Taggers". Taggers will do the pricing, hanging and tagging for you in exchange for payment up front. You will pay them directly, they do not work for SCKC. You will still drop off your tagged items to the sale, like other consignors who tag their own items and earn 70% of your sales. You still get to shop early at the pre-sale with this option too!
How it works:
-
Register to be a SCKC Consignor if you have not already done so. Click HERE to register and access our tagging software. This account is where the Tagger will enter your items, where you will see your sales in real time as the sale is going on, where you can sign up for a volunteer shift, sign up for a Seller Drop Off spot (to put your items on the sales floor before the sale), pull reports for donation purposes, etc.
-
Gather and prep your items that you want to sell. A complete list of accepted/not accepted items can be found HERE.
-
It is your responsibility to ensure your items meet SCKC standards (no stains, rips, holes, too well-worn/pilled, etc).
-
The items must be clean and in working order (items that require batteries have working batteries, games/puzzles have all the pieces, etc).
-
Items must be seasonally appropriate for that sale. A complete list of seasonal items can be found HERE.
-
-
Review our list of Taggers below and contact one to determine availability. You will work directly with them. These Taggers are current consignors of our sale who are familiar with how the process works, but they DO NOT work for us. We are simply making their information available to you. Taggers set their own pricing so it will vary from Tagger to Tagger. We suggest you ask questions up front regarding timeframe, experience and review pricing/payment carefully to make sure you both are on the same page.
-
Drop off your items to your Tagger
-
Once your Tagger finishes up your items, you will pick up your tagged items directly from the Tagger and pay them for their work.
-
You will be responsible to bring your tagged items to the SCKC sales floor on the day prior to each sale and put them out onto the sales floor (unless you have made other arrangements with your Tagger). You can select your seller drop off time through the Tagging site.
-
You will pick up your unsold items after the sale is over unless you chose to donate your items. *Unsold items can be brought back to a future sale as-is.
-
You will earn 70% of your sales like our self-service consignors
