This document is a great resource for all things consigning at SCKC. It highlights our standards and policies, explains what supplies you will need, shows you how to best tag your items, and more. This will save you time and make you more money.

Join our Consignor Only Facebook Group
This is the absolute best group! It is filled with other consignors that are in the same boat as you. It is a place to ask any questions, watch the videos we upload and learn new tips and tricks to be as successful as you can be. We want this to be a collaborative effort and will do everything we can to ensure a successful sale for everyone!

​​Start with your big items
After you registering with us and reading our Consignor Guide, it's time to gather some items you're ready to sell. We recommend starting with the bigger items. It's easy to feel overwhelmed when you look around at a house full of things to sell. Find a handful of larger items you want to sell (i.e. stroller, ride on toy, baby bath, little people toy, etc) and bring them to your computer. 8 labels print to a page so 8 items is a good first effort. Creating tags for the larger items first allows you to make space in your house and allows you to make the most money for the least amount of work. The larger items sell the best! The best part is that you decide what to price each of your items for. We do have a pricing guide if you'd like some assistance, but ultimately, the decision is yours. Pricing guide

​Go room by room
After you have a few items tagged and realize how easy it is, keep a box handy and as you go through a closet or dresser or bookshelf, just add them to the box. When you get an evening after the kids are in bed, sit down and get them tagged. It's fun to see the number of items go up in the tagging system increasing your potential earnings!

​Organize tagged items as you go
As you tag your items, keep in mind that when you drop off your items before the sale, you will be putting them out on the sales floor by category. Bring like items together to the sale (i.e. a box of books, a box with shoes, couple boxes of toys, box with games and puzzles, hanging items separate by size, etc). Drop off will go much faster if your boxes aren't random!
Do what you can
Remember it isn't all or nothing! Do as much as you can, but don't stress, if it doesn't all get tagged, keep the untagged items for the next sale! Bring everything you can, there isn't a limit to your number of gently used items you can bring or potential money you can make!
